The fifth WBCEH members meeting for 2026 will take place on 22 May from 10:00–11:30 AM, slightly earlier than usual due to the public holidays in North Macedonia at the end of the month.
This meeting will bring together Hub members for updates, exchange and reflections on regional developments in circular construction, as well as upcoming WBCEH initiatives including the Circular Economy Awards 2026 and Circular Monday 2026.
Agenda
1. WBCEH updates and upcoming activities
The meeting will open with updates from the Hub, including recent activities, ongoing initiatives and upcoming opportunities for members.
2. Reflections from the regional event “From Linear to Circular: Rethinking Construction in Kosovo”
WBCEH representatives and members will share impressions from the regional event “From Linear to Circular: Rethinking Construction in Kosovo”, held in Pristina and focused on advancing circularity in the construction sector.
The event will bring together regional and international experts and include a keynote speech by Harald Friedl, industry case studies from companies such as InstaBuilt, Aluprof, FRONT LLC and gproject.shpk, experiences from the DGNB German Sustainable Building Council, and panel discussions on circular construction and implementation challenges.
During the members meeting, participants will hear key takeaways from the event, including practical insights, regional perspectives and opportunities for further cooperation in circular construction.
3. Launch of the Circular Economy Awards 2026
The meeting will introduce the newly launched Circular Economy Awards 2026 call, including this year’s categories, timeline, application process and plans for promoting circular success stories from across the Western Balkans.
4. Circular Monday 2026 – campaign updates
Participants will also receive updates on plans for the Circular Monday 2026 campaign, which will take place in November and build on last year’s regional activities and collaborations.
5. Informal networking and exchange
The final part of the meeting will be dedicated to open exchange, allowing members to introduce their work, share ideas and explore potential cooperation.
