Youth are one of the three main target groups of the Western Balkans Circular Economy Hub. Through interactive educational workshops, hackathons, and other engaging events, the Hub aims to strengthen young people’s skills in circular economy practices aligned with market needs — ultimately increasing their chances of securing decent and green job opportunities.

The first youth-focused event that is planned is a hackathon on circular economy in construction, set to take place this November in Skopje. It will bring together students and young professionals from civil engineering, construction, and related fields. Participants will be challenged to develop circular solutions that promote more sustainable practices in the sector — including innovations in materials, construction methods, and the management of construction and demolition waste.

The exact title and format of the event will be announced in the coming months.
