The sixth WBCEH members meeting for 2026 will take place on 30 June from 10:00-11:30<\/strong>, bringing together Hub members for updates, regional exchange and a focused discussion on circular fashion, company support tools and policy developments in the Western Balkans.<\/p>\n

The meeting will include reflections from the WB6 Green and Circular Economy Stakeholders Platform Meeting<\/strong> in Montenegro, where regional stakeholders discussed key priorities for advancing the green and circular transition, including EPR systems for plastic packaging and the phase-out of priority single-use plastics.<\/p>\n

Agenda<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. WBCEH updates and upcoming activities<\/strong>
The meeting will open with updates from the Hub, including recent activities, relevant opportunities and upcoming initiatives for members.<\/p>\n

2. Reflections from the WB6 Green and Circular Economy Stakeholders Platform Meeting<\/strong>
WBCEH representatives will share key takeaways from the regional stakeholder meeting in Montenegro. The discussion will focus on emerging priorities, opportunities for collaboration and the importance of aligned regulation, better data, stronger infrastructure and closer public-private cooperation for circular economy implementation in the Western Balkans.<\/p>\n

3. Member Spotlight: Sugar on Top<\/strong>
This month\u2019s spotlight will feature Sugar on Top<\/strong><\/a>, a circular fashion studio from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, presented by Edina Had\u017ei\u0107, Co-founder and CEO<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sugar on Top works at the intersection of circular design, small-batch ethical production, advisory support, training and ecosystem building. Through its own brand, Stribor, and collaborations with local artisans, the studio gives new life to deadstock and recycled textiles, applies zero-waste design principles and supports more responsible fashion production. Their work is a strong example of how circular economy can create environmental, social and economic value while supporting small designers and producers.<\/p>\n

Sugar on Top is also among the finalists for the ETF Green Skills Award 2026<\/strong>, representing an inspiring example from the Western Balkans.<\/p>\n

4. Introducing the Circular Economy Self-Assessment Tool<\/strong>
The meeting will also introduce the Circular Economy Self-Assessment Tool<\/strong><\/a> for production companies, developed as part of the project Learning by Sharing: Circular Economy Made Local<\/em> by AHK North Macedonia.<\/p>\n

The tool is designed to help companies understand their current circularity level, identify concrete improvement opportunities and receive practical recommendations for advancing their circular economy journey. It is intended for companies of different sizes, with a focus on priority sectors such as metal, plastics and textiles, and can be used free of charge.<\/p>\n

5. Circular Economy Awards 2026<\/strong>
Members will also be reminded that applications for the Circular Economy Awards 2026<\/strong><\/a> are open. This year, applications are available in seven categories, including circular economy pioneers, corporate leadership, innovative circular design, circular start-ups, municipalities, civil society, and education and research. The deadline for applications is 10 September<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

6. Informal networking and exchange<\/strong>
The final part of the meeting will be dedicated to open exchange, allowing members to introduce their work, share ideas and explore potential cooperation.<\/p>\n
